DAY 1.
Depart Adelaide at our earliest (8-9AM) with the intention of making Pt. Germain our destination, to view arguably once the longest jetty in Australia, with it’s lighthouse and tidal clock. We will have lunch at the Village Cafe, before heading off up through Pt. Germain Gorge, historical Melrose and into Alligator Gorge. From here will travel through Wilmington and Horrocks Pass, to make our way to our destination of the Highway One Motel in Pt. Augusta and our first nights accommodation.
DAY 2.
Leaving Pt. Augusta, we will travel to Quorn following the Pichi Richi railway. Maybe a quick break and a coffee before heading out through Warren Gorge, The Argadells, visit Proby’s grave, the ruins at Simmonston, Kanyaka and Death Rock before coming into Hawker where we can visit the hand painted panorama of the Flinders, and then head off for our camp destination of Merna Mora station stay.
DAY 3.
Leaving the homestead we can take a 4WD track to visit the old ruins of Mern Mora railway siding (part of the original Ghan line) before making our way along the Moralana scenic drive to Arkaroo Rock to see the artwork. Then bypassing Wilpena Pound at this stage, we will take the Bunyeroo road into the heart of the Flinders. Take in the view of the Flinders from the Razorback lookout, then move on through the ranges and gorges towards our evening destination of Alpana Station.
DAY 4.
Make our way into Blinman where we will investigate the old copper mines and take a mine tour if available, before leaving via Glass Gorge out to Nuccaleena mine ruins, then back to the Praire Hotel at Parachilna and to our evening destination of Beltana Station
DAY 5.
We can leave our gear at the homestead as it will again our accommodation for tonight. We will go and visit the old township of Beltana and its history associated with the telegraph line to Darwin. From here we shall go and see the ruins of Sliding Rock township, mines and cemetery and imagine the hardships associated with mining in the earlier days then return to Beltana station for the evening.
DAY 6.
Departing Beltana we will make our way back towards Parachilna, only to turn off and take the Brachina Gorge road back into Wilpena Pound, where we can lunch and take the walk into the Pound proper (approx. 2hrs return) before making our way to our nights’ accommodation at the Hawker Hotel.
DAY 7.

Our specialty is helping photographers capture unforgettable aussie imagery, pictures that will have everyone asking ‘where were you when you took this incredible shot?’ With OZTRAX, of course.
